Plant of Fauji Cement Company Limited (FCCL) is located at Jhang Bahtar, District Attock near Islamabad. The Company is one of the leading producer of a wide range of quality cement including ordinary portland cement and other special cement(s) in Pakistan. Incorporated as a public limited company, it started its operations in 1997 with the production capacity of 3700 tons per day (TPD), which was enhanced to over 11000 TPD, with addition of second production Line in 2011. Both the production units are of European origin and are distinguished for their quality and reliability in the industry with annual total production capacity of 3.5 million tons of cement.

To optimize its capabilities, FCCL installed two Waste Heat Recovery Power Plants (WHRPPs) of 12 MW and 9 MW respectively; aimed at using waste heat for energy generation, thereby promoting sustainable environment and reduce load on the national grid. First of the two Waste Heat Recovery Power Plants (WHRPPS) was inaugurated on 14 May 2015, while the second WHRPP was commissioned on 28 February 2018. In addition, the Company pursues a regular BMRE Plan to improve the manufacturing process, enhance it capabilities by making it more efficient.

Fauji Cement is preferred in the complete range of construction industry to include housing sector, commercial & industrial complexes, mega projects like dams, bridges, highways & motorways and a myriad of other structures needing consistency in quality, reliability and high strength. In addition to the local market, Company exports cement to many countries / regions included but not limited to Sri Lanka, India, Afghanistan, South Africa, Middle East and other Africa States.

Another distinctive feature of FCCL is the initiatives it has taken in the field of environment protection. In this realm, it has the distinction to be pioneer in developing the first GREEN Cement of the country, usage of Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) as it installed the Municipal Waste Processing Plant in 2009 and has commissioned the Largest Captive Solar Project in the cement industry setup of Pakistan in 2019. All this has not only added value to the construction industry, it has also contributed towards improved environment and reduction in its cost of production. Water recycling, rain harvesting and massive tree plantation in and around the plant has also brought a visible change in the environment, thus meeting the larger aims of a “Clean and Green Pakistan”.

Company Management has a clear vision for its corporate social responsibility (CSR). In this regard, FCCL contributes in the fields of education, health and technical/skill development. Some of the initiatives vigorously being pursued at the Plant for the adjoining community includes, Fauji Model Secondary School (FMSS) for employees and surrounding villages, Fauji Technical Training Institute (FTTI), Women Vocational Training Institute (FWVTI); an adult literacy programme, a well-equipped dispensary with ambulance, provision of drinking water to neighboring villages and regular sports activities. In addition, a sizeable number of local residents have been employed in the FCCL Plant thereby providing employment to the needy and qualified residents.
